    Sarah Hodgson, director of the Cooperative Canine, has taught dog training classes for than a decade. Sarah continues to teach dogs and people under the business name Simply Sarah, Inc. in Bedford, New York. In addition, she enjoys participating in public events and media appearances to raise canine awareness. But her favorite time of day is when she takes her own dogs, Hope and Shayna May, hiking in the woods. She says that's an essential to her day as drinking water.

    Sarah Hodgson has been a trainer of dogs and their people for over 20 years. She has had many famous clients, including TV personality Katie Couric, actors/actresses Richard Gere, Glenn Close, Chazz Palminteri, Chevy Chase, and Lucie Arnez, business moguls George Soros, Tommy Hilfiger, Tommy Mottola, and Michael Fuchs, and sports greats Bobby Valentine and Alan Houston.
    Sarah is the author of eight dog training books, including Teach Yourself Visually, Dog Training; Dog Tricks For Dummies; DogPerfect; and PuppyPerfect. Soon to be released: Miss Sarah’s Book of Etiquette for Dogs.

    June 06, 2009: We were clueless about puppies (yes, dummies) - so this book was perfect as it assumes you know nothing. I also think it will be a good resource as the puppy gets older.

    March 10, 2009: Two friends recently got puppies. I bought each of them a copy of this book. It is loaded with practical information that, put to use, will make dog ownership better for you and your pet. The book is very down to earth and user friendly.
