    Synopsis

I'm on trial for my life. Falsely accused of infecting my human ex-boyfriend--and killing him to cover up the crime. Infecting a human is one of three capital offenses recognized by the Pride--along with murder and disclosure of our existence to a human.

I'm two for three. A goner.

Now we've discovered a rogue stray terrorizing the mountainside, hunting a wild teenage tabbycat. It's up to us to find and stop him before a human discovers us. With my lover Marc's help, I think I can protect the vulnerable girl from both the ambitious rogue and the scheming of the territorial council.

If I survive my own trial...

April 08, 2009: I understand that Rachel had some loose ends to tie up such as Faythe's trial but I really felt that this book repeated to many things from the first book such as Faythe's relationship with the new tabby. (Which I am guessing is supposed to elude to her motherhood instincts because in Stray she is also very protective of her young cousin)

The character development of Faythe is slow, this is the first book and I haven't seen alot of change in her character. She is still a little bratty and tough as nails. At least she is finally admitting her feelings for Mark.

Faythe's relationship with Mark is the only reason I am hooked on the series. I would like to see more of Jace too.

Overall, the series is absolutely worth reading. It is an original theme and Rachel's style of writing is interesting and catching.
