Synopsis

Gorgeous. Popular.

Perfect. Perfectly wrong.

Tally has finally become pretty. Now her looks are beyond perfect, her clothes are awesome, her boyfriend is totally hot, and she's completely popular. It's everything she's ever wanted.

But beneath all the fun -- the nonstop parties, the high-tech luxury, the total freedom -- is a nagging sense that something's wrong. Something important. Then a message from Tally's ugly past arrives. Reading it, Tally remembers what's wrong with pretty life, and the fun stops cold.

Now she has to choose between fighting to forget what she knows and fighting for her life -- because the authorities don't intend to let anyone with this information survive.

Publishers Weekly

Tally, the star of Uglies by Scott Westerfeld (which PW said, "raises thought- provoking issues") is now one of the Pretties, thanks to an operation that everyone from Uglyville gets when they turn 16, and which makes them gorgeous. In this sequel, a letter Tally discovers from her "former" self raises disturbing questions about what else may have occurred during the procedure. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

June 17, 2009: I absolutely loved this book!! It is definitely the best book of the Uglies series. I love Tally and Zane's relationship...and this book was just fun to read. It was exciting and it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time just wondering what was going to happen next, and what was wrong with Zane and where everybody disappeared to!! I loved it...

June 16, 2009: This book is very interesting. In the book There was a lot going on, So I was basically never bored. I like the way he made the characters interesting. I don't like the fact that you can change your appearance with surgery. There's a futuristic but modern thing going on to. I would recommend this book to girls. If you didn't read Uglies don't read Pretties it kinda doesn't make sense.
