    April 15, 2008: Number one, Hurter knows his stuff. Very hands-on. No stuffing?all meat. Concepts re: light are very insightful. Ex. All photos are two dimensional, goal of lighting is to create third dimension. And, later, magazine photography tends to the two-dimensional?third dimension 'depth' is created with makeup. I get enthused about a book that presents global insights and then gives concrete examples that flesh out the picture 'so to speak'. I could only find one quibble 'I have a copy-editor?s persnickety-ness'. On p. 67 (2d Ed.) the car is identified as a Porsche. It doesn?t look like a Porsche?more like a Corvette. Excellent creative photo.
