August 30, 2009: I am new to scrapbooking, and although the author sells this system as a way to change the way you scrapbook, I found it very inspiring as a motivation for me to finally dive into a hobby that I've just dabbled in before. This book is very different from the dozen or so other scrapbooking texts I've read, which only seem to contain layout ideas. I never got that far, since I was so caught up in the need to pre-determine a theme for an entire scrapbook, and of course I was working chronologically. This author challenges you to give up the chronological system and work instead within themed albums. She even advises that you - gasp! - work on multiple albums at once! For a very regimented thinker like myself, it was difficult to see that perspective, but I could see that the way I was trying to do it, I would never get anything done. So I reorganized my photos the way the author recommends (she mentions specific products that were easy to find online). Now I have actually begun making pages, and my photos are organized in such a way that I don't have to hunt for specific shots. Plus, I love her album system. I would say that as a person who had kind-of, sort-of tried scrapbooking over the past couple years, this was the one text that inspired me to actually get started.

June 13, 2009: I highly recommend this book for any scrapbooker that is overwhelmed by thousands of photos to organize. The system described in great detail in the book helps you drastically change your scrapbooks from chronological to a storytelling perspective.
