March 15, 2009: With all the talk and hype that urges us to "go green" it is easy to get mired in the details. What this book has done is streamline all the information and gives it to us in a succinct and clearly outlined manner.
Though the author even helps readers choose the right pet, we already own our dog - but that didn't matter. We were still able to learn about foods, and what's best not only for the environment, but our pup as well; what toys are "green" (who knew?) and even how to dispose of his waste with the least amount of impact on the environment. The "Take Action" section is great as a learning tool for parents and/or teachers. The indepth research is impressive throughout this handy little toolkit of a book. It's one that no pet household should be without!
