June 06, 2009: This is a wonderful book that shows how a grandmother established a lifelong relationship with her granddaughter by having her remember that her grandmother loves her every time the girl found a penny on the ground. I started the same tradition with my grandchildren - with a bit of a change to include all coins and both my husband and me. Now when either of my grandchildren find a stray coin - on the ground or around the house - they will pick it up and tell their parents "Grammy and Papa love me!" This is the best children's book we have ever given to them.
