The true story of four friends diagnosed with breast cancer before they were thirty, and the monthly luncheon that lifted their spirits.
A diagnosis of breast cancer before the age of thirty had brought Patti, Jana, Jennifer, and Kim together for a monthly lunch at their local Nordstrom's café, but it was a desire to provide hope to others that would make them friends for life.
The fruit of their lunchtime labor, Nordie's at Noon shares the personal stories of each of these courageous women. A source of humor, strength, inspiration, and education, the book is a celebration of friendship and of living life to the fullest. "A rare book that has the saddest of endings and yet still manages to be life affirming,"* it encourages women everywhere to be proactive with their health-and to realize that no one is "too young" for breast cancer. (*People Magazine)
...this is a rare book that has the saddest of endings and yet still manages to be—yes—life affirming.
