    Synopsis

Walker is an independent fundraising consultant with 20-plus years of experience in the field, who has helped clients raised some $600 million in some one dozen capital campaigns for nonprofits. She presents a practical guide offering rules, tips, techniques, exhibits, samples, stories, and programs to help nonprofits achieve success. Coverage includes important considerations before beginning a campaign; campaign preparation; campaign structure, including timetables, gift tables, and goals; effective leadership; making a compelling case; prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation; strategies that motivate donors; and repositioning the organization through the capital campaign.
