    Synopsis

The Nightwalkers have lived in the shadows of our world for centuries, gifted with abilities few humans can comprehend. For Noah, duty is all-until he meets the woman who is his destiny.

    She Will Take Him
    Beyond His Wildest Dreams.

As Demon King, Noah is dedicated to protecting his kind from their human and Nightwalker enemies. Yet for six months he has struggled with vivid dreams that threaten his very sanity. Every night he's tormented by images of a woman both achingly real and tantalizingly beyond his grasp. And his bone-deep need leaves him no choice but to force her to leave the life she's known and enter a world beyond her imagining.

Every day, Kestra risks her life in perilous missions that veer just shy of the law, but she instinctively knows that the imposingly sensual figure before her is a danger unlike any she's ever faced. Kestra has sworn never to trust or need another man, but Noah's lightest touch scorches her with fevered desire, branding her as his mate, blinding them both to the terrifying truth. For within the ranks of their own people lies an adversary growing in number and power. And nothing and no one will be safe again.

    Desire awakens at night.

    Biography

Jacquelyn Frank is currently living in North Carolina, and has been writing romantic fiction ever since she picked up her first teen romance at age 13. With four sisters and other family scattered up and down the Eastern Seaboard, and a history of living all across the USA herself, she still always finds ways to give a nod to her native New York in her work. Jacquelyn lives with a precocious seven-year-old girl and her four "children," a quartet of male domestic shorthaired cats whose personalities have often inspired aspects of her characters. A former Sign Language Interpreter and substitute teacher, she is a powerful advocate of reading and writing. She is known for her persistent gifts of books to her nieces and nephews, as well as all the other children in her life, in an effort to see them love both as much as she does. She believes there is nothing more rewarding than the imagination and all it inspires, and nothing more tragic than illiteracy.

Great book, disappointing ending to the seriesby Anonymous

November 14, 2008: I felt very conflicted after reading this book. It starts a little slow but once Noah meets Kes in the flesh, it picks up & I found myself unable to put it down. At first I wanted to console Noah during his anguish of trying to keep his destined mate from leaving him. Although it was kind of pityful at times, it kept my interest. I wonder if Ms. Frank was growing tired of this series - eager to move on to something new & fresh. For this book to be the last of the series, I was left a little disappointed at the end. I would've liked some closure with Ruth. She has tormented everyone throughout the series but she doesn't even so much as make an appearance in this book! Ruth has to get what she deserves I hope Ms. Frank will someday write to come back to these characters for an ultimate battle between good & evil (hint, hint Ms. Frank) But until then, I would highly recommend this entire series with my favorites being Elijah & Noah.

I Also Recommend: Twilight Saga Collection.

September 20, 2008: I just re-read this, and the best thing I can say is I enjoyed it more because i could skip over half of the material.I have loved this series to date, but the fact that the author failed to finish the over arching plot, and turned a formerly strong character into a whining beta male ruined this book for me.
