    Synopsis

Here at last is the definitive account of America's most feared serial murderer, based on sixty hours of personal interviews with Richard Ramirez himself. You will follow Richard on his odyssey into depravity and mind-numbing violence. You'll listen to an unprecedented police manhunt gather force to capture The Night Stalker. Includes audio segments of Richard Ramirez discussing "the death rattle", sex, & how to avoid being a victim.

    Library Journal

Richard Ramirez terrorized Los Angeles and the surrounding communities during his reign of terror as "The Night Stalker." By the time he was captured, he had killed 13 people. This account of his sordid deeds spends much time describing the crimes in grisly detail. By far the most interesting part of the presentation is the author's taped interview with Ramirez, during which Ramirez talks about his beliefs, his theories on other serial killers, his drug abuse, and how it feels to be on death row. Listeners will be surprised to find that Ramirez is intelligent and funny: how could this seemingly ordinary man have committed such heinous acts? Danny Aiello is an adequate reader and the background music choice, "Night on Bald Mountain," is inspired. While the account suffers from unevenness at times, the interview more than atones. Recommended for most true crime collections.-Danna C. Bell-Russel, District of Columbia P.L.

January 26, 2009: The Night Stalker is a really good book. its full with vivid writeing and it tells you about a young men and how he became the night stalker how his family was very respectful and that sometimes seeing some one dieing infront of you can really mess you up. its a good book for people that is into crimminal justice or love reading about killers. it can show you the life of richard ramirez but the book is very detail when it comes down to the killing and how he did it. but beside all that i think the night stalker is a very great book.

December 30, 2008: This book is fabulous hard to let go, there wasn't anything more interesting then reading it, scary in a sense that had me looking around more than ever at night, as I read it, it felt like it was really happening at the time and not something that was hopefully over.
