    Synopsis

The second book in The Twilight Saga phenomenon is now available in a deluxe collector's edition! Featuring a ribbon bookmark, cloth cover, new chapter opener designs, and a beautiful protective slipcase, this edition is perfect for fans and collectors alike.

In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

    Publishers Weekly

Not since TV's Buffy "the Vampire Slayer" Summers battled demons in the halls of Sunnydale High has a teenager faced the number of monsters that Bella Swan does in Meyer's melodramatic sequel to Twilight. Bella's vampire boyfriend Edward and his unusual clan are joined by an ancient pack of werewolves-also with connections to Bella-in a story that's got romance, adventure, thrills and even a quick detour to Italy. Thanks to Kadushin's (who also read Twilight) consistently smooth delivery and her plausibility as a teen navigating heartbreak, hormones and confusion, listeners are likely to hang on for the many fever-pitch moments of suspense here, even if the lengthy tale could have used some pruning. Ages 12-up. (Oct.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

Happy birthday Bella! It's Bella's eighteenth birthday and all she wants is to stay seventeen for the rest of her life. Edward loves Bella oh so very much but when problems arise the Cullen's must leave town. Bella is lost without him and doesn't know how to cope with her agony. After months of mourning, Bella finds a friend in a local boy Jacob Black. As Jacob and Bella grow closer as friends Bells discovers something about Jacob maybe not worth knowing. While with Jacob one day Bella finds that if she puts herself in danger then this, "wonderful "illusion tells her what to do. Bella misses Edward and decides to go cliff diving so she can hear Edward's magnificent voice in an illusion again. Alice sees this in her visions but misinterprets it. As a result of the mistake on Rosalie's part Bella and Alice must take a trip to Italy to see the Volturi. In the end it all works out but in order to know it all you'll have to read the book and the other sequels!!

Overall I love this book. I enjoy the way that Myer uses the pressures that girls face every day and put them into a book. For example Bella Swan is pushed out of a group at school and yet she doesn't mind. This book is definitely for readers who like some romance with a little bit of action and a lot of drama. Boys and girls both throughout the states have enjoyed this book and now it's your turn to read it.

September 11, 2009: I loved this book! I just recently started reading the Twilight series this summer after I heard all my friends talk about how great it was. Bella and Edward's timeless romance can grab the attention of any reader, and make you feel like you're actually involved in their relationship. Throughout the book there is great suspense and mystery. I wanted to know what was going to happen every time I flipped the page. This book is a good read at the beach or next to the fire in the winter. Its enjoyable at anytime!

I Also Recommend: Twilight, Eclipse, Twilight, Breaking Dawn Special Edition, Breaking Dawn.
