    Synopsis

I FELT LIKE I WAS TRAPPED IN ONE OF THOSE TERRIFYING NIGHTMARES…
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella ever could have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning. . . .
Legions of readers entranced by the New York Times bestseller Twilight are hungry for the continuing story of star-crossed lovers Bella and Edward. In New Moon, Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural spin. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

    Publishers Weekly

Not since TV's Buffy "the Vampire Slayer" Summers battled demons in the halls of Sunnydale High has a teenager faced the number of monsters that Bella Swan does in Meyer's melodramatic sequel to Twilight. Bella's vampire boyfriend Edward and his unusual clan are joined by an ancient pack of werewolves-also with connections to Bella-in a story that's got romance, adventure, thrills and even a quick detour to Italy. Thanks to Kadushin's (who also read Twilight) consistently smooth delivery and her plausibility as a teen navigating heartbreak, hormones and confusion, listeners are likely to hang on for the many fever-pitch moments of suspense here, even if the lengthy tale could have used some pruning. Ages 12-up. (Oct.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

November 20, 2009: The fiction book, New Moon, was written by Stephanie Meyer. It was a very intriguing book that was slightly confusing at some parts due to the conflict that seemed to change throughout the novel. It was set in present set in the small town of Forks, Washington.

Edward Cullen leaves Bella, causing her to feel as if she has nothing to live for. In order to feel better, she reverts to hanging out with her friend, Jacob Black, whom she becomes very fond of. Bella learns that she is being pursued by a lethal vampire, Victoria, and Jacob must reveal a great secret in order to save her. In order to cope with the fact that Jacob is a werewolf, she tries to hang out with him while he is with the rest of his werewolf cult. In order to protect Bella from Victoria, Jacob attempts to hunt Victoria in the forest, but with little luck. To stop Edward from going to the Volturi, Bella follows him there, bringing Alice, Edward's sister, with her. Stephanie Meyer wrote this novel in Bella's perspective - first person limited.

Ms. Meyer's writing seems to have a bit of darkness and medieval quality about it due to word choice, although, that style does seem to emphasize the vampire- part of the novel well. Anyone who enjoys action/fiction novels would have a jovial time reading this novel. Considering, this is the second book in a four part saga, it would be helpful if you read the prior novel, Twilight, and the two sequels, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

November 20, 2009: New Moon is a fantasy novel by Stephanie Myer. It was a very good book. I can't wait to read the third book eclipse. This book starts in Forks, Washington around 2007. In the story, Edward leaves Bella claming that he doesn't love her anymore. Bella now has to deal with her depression. She soon finds that whenever she is in a dangerous or life threatening situation, she can hear Edwards voice more clearly. Bella soon goes to Jacob, who had always been her friend, and asked him to fix up some motorcycles she had recently acquired. Bella then asks for lessons and when she starts riding the motorcycle she hears Edward's voice telling her to stop, she loses her concentration and crashes. She becomes an adrenaline junkie and tries cliff diving after seeing some of the boys from La Push doing it, but she never waits for Jacob before jumping. Bella ends up almost drowning. She hears Edward's voice even clearer than before because of her near death experience. I recommend this book to any one who read 'Twilight' and any one who loves fantasy. Read it to find out what happened.

I Also Recommend: Eclipse, Breaking Dawn, Twilight, Twilight.
