January 17, 2007: I recommend this book to anyone seeking better health. This book is easy to understand and follow. It is loaded with useful information about vitamins & minerals, our body requirements at different walks of life & what foods will provide the nutrition & in what amounts. Needless to say, the authors have done a fine job in outlining the vegetarian diet and the kinds of things which need to be paid extra attention to such as proper intakes of B12, DHA & other fatty acids. It also provides different chapters with regards to the certain age groups and special circumstances such as being pregnat or lactating, infants & seniors. This book also covers the myths that are all too common with becomig a vegetarian. I truly felt confident becoming a vegetarian after reading this book, knowing that I won't have issues with malnutrition. I cannot recommed this book enough. It truly is a very good source of nutrition information if nothing else.
