    Synopsis

Nemesis - one who inflicts retribution or justice - seems an odd name for an elderly, rather frail woman. But not if that old lady is the formidable Miss Jane Marple. Soon after the death of financier Rafiel, the man who'd called her by that name, Miss Marple is summoned by his solicitors. A letter from the grave sends her on a baffling quest - to investigate an unidentified crime.

    Biography

Agatha Christie is nearly synonymous with upper-class British mysteries, for good reason. She set the standard for the genre in over 60 novels and dozens of short stories, also creating two classic detectives: the fastidious Belgian, Hercule Poirot, and English spinster Jane Marple. No one could match Christie's knack for weaving clues into her stories, then turning the whole thing inside out -- shocking her readers every time.

September 05, 2009: My daughter and I have purchased 16 of her novels on audio thus far and this one ranks up with the top ones we like. I definitely suggest this one and a very good listen, good plot, good twists, just an enjoyable story to listen to and try to guess who did the crime.

October 03, 2003: This is surely one of Agatha Christie's better works. The mystrey from the past has to be uncovered without any clues to begin with. Miss Marple goes about her job slowly but surely to reveal the secret. Thrilling and gripping till the mystrey is solved.
