    Synopsis

Maureen Faulkner is the widow of police officer Danny Faulkner, infamously murdered in Philadelphia in 1981 by Wesley Cook, who goes by the name of Mumia Abu-Jamal.  The defendant has become an international cult figure, who has been supported by such Hollywood activists as Ed Asner, Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon. Faulkner tells the other side of the story: the widow's anguish and grief and her attempts to bring closure to her husband's murder more than 25 years later.  For author events and more information about this never-before-told account, go to murderedbymumia.com.

November 24, 2008: The only thing more ignorant than continuing the false premise that Mumia is innocent is recommending his book following the announcement. You're in college, right? Would it kill you to read up on your case facts? Not to mention this supposed .45 caliber bullet found in Faulkner's head was actually a .38 caliber bullet. The mere reference to the .45 was a SCRIBBLE ON A POST-IT NOTE BY THE CORONER. If this was legit, wouldn't you think the coroner would have put it in the official report? Of course not, because this a "giant cover up", right??? Like JFK and Area 51, right??? The next time you see Mr. Spock and Captain Kirk in outer space, let me know. Tell them both I said hi.
Truth is a hard pill to swallow. He's never getting out. Give it up. The man's a liar, and the proof is in the pudding.
The book is fantastic, especially for anyone from Philadelphia who grew up listening to this story. A must read.

October 21, 2008: It's unbelievable that people continue to ignore the evidence that Mumia is innocent. Mumia had a .38 caliber gun, while the bullet found inside of Faulkner was a .44 caliber. FIVE witnesses reported someone fleeing the scene, yet Mumia was still found guilty. Apart from the overwhelming evidence that he was innocent, his trial was done incorrectly and broke the constitution. I do not feel he is inoocent because I am an "anarchist, college kid, easily persuaded by the media, etc.", i feel this way because when you take an honest, unbiased look at the case, it is immpossible to feel differently.
