October 25, 2000: Mr. Rabbit is so gentlemanly that he is almost 'courtly.' It's hard not to fall in love with him even though he is a rabbit! In the soft and delicate drawings Mr. Rabbit helps a young lady decide on and find the perfect present for her mother. Only Sendak and Zolotow could have created such beauty in a book! Awarded the l963 Caldecott Honor Book and included in Notable Children's Books of 1940-1970(ALA).
