A mouse is innocently sitting under a tree reading a book when a weasel grabs him by the tail and puts him in a pot to make mouse soup. The ingenious mouse tells the weasel that soup is not good without any stories in it, and then proceeds to tell him four very silly tales. The tales inspire the weasel to search for additional ingredients for the soup - and while he does, the mouse calmly climbs out of the pot, goes home, and finishes his book in peace.
A mouse convinces a weasel he needs the ingredients from several stories to make a tasty mouse soup.

August 08, 2009: I would recommend this book as a read to and reader for beginning readers. My son loves for me to read to him as well as to himself. At first I thought it was too much for him to handle since he was only in Kindergarten, but he was able to read it with little help from me. And the stories makes his imagination wonder even more.He has read it at least three times since I've bought it. Worth every penny.
