I thought this was going to be an interesting book, but it is rather an extremely dull and drawn out description of an idea that could be summarized in less than a page.

This book was amazing and intelligant! I was shocked and delighted with Thomas More's way of sweeping you into his novel. The book itself was extrordinary and very well written. I would have to say one of the brightest books I have ever read about political philosophy and the idea of commenwealth! A great book!!!
This revision incorporates the many refinements to the translation of Utopia undertaken in 1995. George Logan has also updated the editorial commentary and introduction to take into account the scholarship published since the first Cambridge Texts edition of Utopia appeared in 1989. This edition is the most accessible and student-friendly version of Utopia currently available.
Clarence Miller has made a lively and accurate translation which preserves the subtlety and wit of More's own Latin. Fluent and highly readable, this new version should be welcomed by all admirers of the Utopia.
