      September 18, 2008: This is no book for the novice! It is designed to be the next book after Unbeatable Chess Lessons has been read. When you put these two books together you have the best collection of a total of 48 games (24 in each book) that uses the approach that Chernev began in his Logical Chess Move by Move book. Except these two 'Unbeatable Lessons' books are better in that they have up to date analysis and provide a more clear and understandable writing style. The main differences between Unbeatable Chess Lessons and More Unbeatable Chess Lessons are that the games have deeper analysis and more opening analysis depth in More Unbeatable Chess Lessons. When you put these two books together you have got some excellent opening analysis. An excellent point to be made is that the transition betweens opening and middlegames are very well covered and there is extensive coverage of important middlegame ideas in both volumes. With the comment on every move approach (as mentioned started by Chernev) the majority of games never reach the endgame. There are several excellent endgames in both volumes. The author uses some of his own games which I have found to be very instructive and of high quality. The understanding of how the amateur's mind thinks and the type of typical questions that would be asked are clearly shown in both volumes (as well as the entire Chess for Everyone series).

      October 31, 2007: This book is great for those who are no longer at the beginning level. Works well after reading Unbeatable Chess Lessons, of the same series. I am a fan of the 'Chess for Everyone' series.
