Monsters are real... And it turns out that there is good money to be made killing them. Welcome to Monster Hunter International.
Larry Correia is hopelessly addicted to two things: guns and B-horror movies. He lists his occupations: gun dealer, firearms instructor, accountant, and writer, and is part owner of FBMG (Fuzzy Bunny Movie Guns) a company specializing in firearms and movie props. He shoots competitively and is a certified concealed weapons instructor. Larry resides in Utah with his very patient wife and family. He has also designed a special patch for the agents of Monster Hunter International, Inc.

November 11, 2009: I really enjoyed this story, including the different spin it gave to the typical ideas of fantasy creatures. Good charactor development, made you kinda feel like you where there with them. Some good little twists and turns to keep you interested and on your toes. In my opinion a must read for the genre and I can't wait for a sequal.

November 11, 2009: This author hit a home run here. I was immediately taken with the flashes of tongue in cheek humor evident through-out from his boss' strange behavior at the beginning, to the gift and termination notice from his employer, to Skippy the helicopter pilot and how he got his name. The action is intense, especially if you like the smell of gunpowder. I'm not keen on monster stories but this one had so many surprising elements that I couldn't put it down. The ending sets up nicely for a sequal. Keep 'em coming, Larry!
