Author Biography: As a young girl in Hamilton, Ohio, the author dreamed of one day publishing a novel. After graduation she moved to California, and now—after raising six children, and a long journalism career—she has finally achieved her goal. Betty Dravis has written columns, profiles, and feature articles for many California newspapers, including the Sacramento Sporting News, East San Jose Sun, and Milpitas Post. She was editor of the Gilroy News Herald where she also hosted a weekly talk show on Cable TV; society editor and columnist for the Imperial Beach News; editor of the Labor Union Gazette; and founder/publisher of Construction Labor News, a San Jose-based newspaper currently owned by her daughter, Mindy Gonzales. The author resides in Capitola, California where she is compiling a collection of short stories and working on the sequel to Millennium Babe: The Prophecy. October 05, 2005: This novel has an extremely mesmerizing plot with a very provocative theme. And to top it off, the ending was wonderful and inspirational. This book is appealing to all genres!

October 01, 2005: I don't know how I missed this book on 2001. I searched the Net for everything I could find about the new millennium, but somehow this book eluded me. ??? I feel lucky to have found it these few years later. If this talented author had not written her new young adult, I might never have found this book, and would have missed the most imaginative, entertaining book imaginable. ??? The book is about a San Jose weatherman who goes berserk on live TV during the Christmas holidays, falls to his knees and makes a startling prophecy about the first baby to be born in the new millennium. Dravis must be a purist because she starts the new millennium on January 1, 2001 ... it's proper date. ??? The world goes crazy after the prophecy, the US president gets involved, some evil people plan to kidnap the baby, and those are just a few of the exciting plot elements. ??? This book has an abundance of humor, and a lot of satire ... despite the serious situation evolving. I couldn't help but think that Betty Dravis had her tongue in her cheek all the way through and that she had FUN writing this one. ??? The ending was one of those very clever double-endings you think it's over before it's really over. The true ending made me gasp. It was THAT good, but it really needs a sequel to let Dravis's fans know how the Babe grows up, etc. ??? I can't remember when I enjoyed a book more. The world should discover this book. Folks who haven't read it don't know what they're missing. It would make an exciting movie high drama, with a lot of comedic opportunites.
