    Biography

    Barbara Beery combined her natural talents for cooking and teaching to create Batter Up Kids, a children's cooking school, in 1991. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Texas, and spent 13 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grades and pre-school children ages 3 to 5 years.

    July 11, 2009: Simple and pretty recipes to be made with an adult to lend a hand and supervise. This is another hit from the Austin, Tx author. My nine year old niece loved the Fairies cookbook. Her and her papa made some of the fairies pops together. No fancy ingredients required and creates a love of cooking and another way to spend time with family members of all ages to make party favors or just something for a rainy afternoon
