    Synopsis

There's one last chance to save the world in the third book in the Maximum Ride series, SAVING THE WORLD AND OTHER EXTREME SPORTS. The time has arrived for Max and her winged "flock" to face their ultimate enemy and discover their original purpose: to defeat the takeover of "Re-evolution"--a sinister experiment to re-engineer a select population into a scientifically superior master race...and to terminate the rest. Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gasman, and Angel have always worked together to defeat the forces working against them--but can they save the world when they are torn apart, living in hiding and captivity, halfway across the globe from one another?

    VOYA

Saving the World rounds out the series with its trademark frantic pace and twisted realities. Although it is the third installment, those who have not read the previous two books will find it easy to catch up and become hooked. By its conclusion, the plot has twisted and turned many times over itself, yet surprisingly it comes out virtually unraveled. The ending is satisfying, leaving just enough questions to cause the reader to wish for more.

    Biography

Not making any bones about his bid for success, James Patterson once declared he wanted to be known as “the king of the page-turners.” While that may seem like a pretty grand ambition, Patterson is as worthy of that title as any author working today.

This book is ok, but to me it didn't fit into the series. Although it is necessary to read, if you plan to continue the series into the fifth book

Customer Rating for this product is 5 out of 5 Thrilling and you'll love it.
Reader., someone who loves Maximum ride., 07/12/2008

I read the first Maximum Ride book in school during my 7th grade year. (Maximum Ride: the angel experiment.) I have to admit when i first started it i really didn't want to read it because i usually don't read these types of books. BUT!... after a while i started getting super into it. I really loved it. My teacher wrote to James Patterson and he gave my teacher some copies of the 3rd book. She had a rally and i won the third book. Immediately i had to start reading the 2nd. Then the 3rd. Now i'm on the forth. Let me tell you this book has so much action and even a little romance between Max and Fang. You really feel like your soaring along next to them. Like your part of the flock. If you read this book i garentee you will NOT, EVER, be disappointed. =)
