    Synopsis

Like all young children, Oli wants confirmation of his mother's love. And when she assures him she will love him always, Oli asks, "How long is always?" As they spend their day together, Mama shows Oli how their love is as everlasting as everything they see--as magic as a starry night, as soft as a cloudy sky, and as deep as the deep blue sea. This deluxe 8 x 8 format has extra heavy covers and glossy, high-quality text stock.

    Children's Literature

When a small bear questions his mother's love, she tells him she will always love him. The young bear then asks for an explanation of "always." Always is miles and miles forever. It is as high as a giant tree and it is as magical as a starry night. It is also wild, wondrous, tricky, soft, slow, light, and fresh. Sometimes, "always" is gentle like springtime or secret as a birthday wish. It can be quiet and warm and sweet. Most importantly, "always" represents how precious the child is to the mother. The numerous similes are fresh and, sometimes, unexpected. The softly colored pastel illustrations appearing on white backgrounds portray a loving relationship between a mother and her child. A quiet book for sharing with young children.
