Teens are everywhere in Hollywood: stage as well as the big and small screen. There is an ever-increasing need for accomplished young actors who understand the business, the dedication it takes to succeed and the talent and determination to stick it out. As this year's crop of teen's age, agents search for new talent. Teens that have studied their craft have fantastic opportunities to break into acting in a big way. But groundwork must be laid first. Consistent work with commercials, then monologues leads to solid performances with longer pieces. Magnificent Monologues for Teens: The Teens' Monologue Source for Every Occasion! is filled with monologues to which teens can relate with truth. Truth in acting is the essence of a great performance. The monologues written by Chambers Stevens speak with the voice of today's young actor. These monologues, used as a study-guide, will prepare the teen actor for significant auditions in both comedy and drama. The bibliography of plays is invaluable for the young actor and drama coach. Broken down into four parts, the plays range from those any beginning actor should be familiar with, through more challenging plays, then plays for major thespians and finally, a listing of the classics. As a publisher of quality material for young performers, we couldn't be more pleased to present this title as the fourth in our Hollywood 101 series.
