December 09, 2006: My hat goes off to Madonna! I have loved her since her first debut movie (a certain sacrifice). I am very pleased to see she is using all her talents to help make the world a better place. Her books are outstanding and I recommend that everyone should read them to their children. Not only for the message but to see the beautiful art. My daughter's school had them read 'The english roses' for exclusion and bullying. They also read Madonna's other stories for life lessons. If more families and schools read these stories to their children I think the next generation of children could overcome the problems we face today. I think it could bring families together. I think it could help parents teach their children better life lessons and how to be better friends.

November 15, 2005: I am certified as both a general education and special education teacher, and I work now as a certified a reading specialist. I am absolutely appalled by Madonna?s deplorable attempt at edification. It is a sad day when our children have to look to Madonna for their literature needs because she believes that there was no such thing as a ?good children?s book? until her name was among the stacks. I feel sorry for the children whose teachers prefer to bring these books into their classrooms rather than provide them with the enlightening experiences of the great authors of our time.
