March 22, 2007: While I've enjoyed other Madeline books, this one is uncharacteristically harsh. What adult wants to explain a guillotine to a young child?

July 05, 2001: it's a good book. it is about a bad hat named pepito. after he got in the middle of a cat fight, he was no longer a bad hat. it's not just for 3--8 year olds. i'm nine and i loved it. this book is for all ages.
