June 16, 2007: Everyone who reads this should be warned, you are almost assuredly not reading a true story. Run a goggle search on this, the evidence is pretty damning. Also, once you've read it the story gets more hard to believe as you go - eight days in the desert without water, yetis sighted, going over the Himalayas for no apparent good reason. None of his traveling companions have ever come forward to corroborate. It is a great story, but I don't read fiction, and I am disappointed that this book has 'true story' on the title.

September 26, 2006: This book puts people like Krakauer and that idiot Aron Rolston to shame. While reading it I often wondered how much I could have taken and if I would have given up. This is the book to read if you need a gut check.
