Biography
John Feinstein spent eleven years with "The Washington Post." He has also written for "Sport, The Sporting News, " and "Inside Sports, " has been a special contributor to "Sports Illustrated, " and is currently the main feature writer for "The National." His stories have appeared in five editions of "Best Sports Stories, " and he has won twelve U.S. Basketball Writers awards.
Mr. Feinstein lives in Bethesda, Maryland, and Shelter Island, New York, with his wife, Mary Clare.
Foster received an MA in Theater from the University of Michigan.

May 12, 2009: I am a huge baseball fan so this book was great. I'm into baseball history but I'm also still only 21 years old so it was neat to read about a season that I was actually alive to see! Lastly, as a Mets fan it's cool to relive the season Tom Glavine won 300 games...how frickin' long it took him to get there and the end of his Mets career that still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

September 02, 2008: This book is a great book for those who like baseball. I recommend this book to anyone who likes the game. This book is a great story about two pitchers who struggle through different problems during the year. It tells the story of these two guys and how they have become such sports icons. I recommend this book for anyone who wants a good read about a great game.
