The book is excellent! It was very fun to read and very easy to understand why Nina is Nina. Of course every single one of us has a style and we just need to translate that to our day to day basis. You do not need to be rich to follow a trend, or to create your personal style. The book is full of new and old ideas with a refreshing sense of style.
For all of you that think that fur can be just the real thing is very mistaken or that you need to be rich to achieve a look, even worse.
Fashion means creativity, breaking the rules and mostly feeling good about yourself no matter shape or color.
For you all purchasing the book or intending to, go ahead. Start looking beautiful...

July 31, 2008: Nina Garcia isn't as smart as she thinks she is. The book doesn't tell you any secrets to dressing great- you've heard them already. She goes on to promote fashion mistakes many have made already and yet she claims they are great trends- the worst of them is fur...when's the last time you ever saw anyone wearing fur?? They use puppies and kittens nowadays'most notably German Shepards' for fur coats made in China. So, unless she's an extreme animal hater I have no idea why she would slander PETA in this book and go on to promote herself & the wearing of so many other fashion mistakes in this book. This book was boring, ill-written, and not well researched.
