    Synopsis

In this latest installment of the magical series, Jack and Annie are whisked off to the vast plains of Africa, where they must solve Morgan le Fay's third magical riddle. Once the riddle is solved, they still have to get past a pride of lions, a herd of rampaging wildebeests and one very hungry Masai warrior.

    Annotation

The magic tree house takes Jack and Annie to Africa where they meet up with wonderful wild animals, a very hungry warrior, and where they even solve a riddle.

    Children's Literature

Number eleven in the "Magic Tree House" series, this title follows Jack and Annie on another adventure. On the way home from the store, Jack and Annie spot a strange looking deer near their home. As they follow it into the woods, they come upon the Magic Tree, the source of all their adventures, and they are met by Morgan le Fay, their goddess of knowledge. She supplies the riddles that need to be answered by Jack and Annie. This latest story transports Jack and Annie to Africa. They have a series of adventures with various plains animals; a lion, wildebeests, hyenas, elephant, giraffe, and a honey guide, a bird who helps natives find honey. The text also includes some paragraphs that feature facts about the African plains. Some black and white drawings are included.

    A good book.by Anonymous

May 25, 2008: A boy and his sister go inside a magic tree house and it takes them on an adventure to Africa. I like this book because of the illustrations and the emotions of the characters. If I was in Africa I would be happy but if I was being chased by lions I would be scared like the characters in this book. The illustrations are just the way I pictured Africa.

April 13, 2004: My favorite character in this book is Annie because she is adventurous and says that she can talk to animals and read their minds, like when these animals got stuck in the muddy water.
