January 02, 2008: This is probably the most rigorous Linear Algebra textbook in the market today. It's very heavily proof oriented. As an engineering student I would say that math majors would have a much better time with this text than physical science majors. In any event, this should be the standard book in Linear Algebra regardless of your major. This text requires a lot of abstract thinking, and once you're finished with the book you really do feel rewarded.
