July 17, 2009: This is one of the Dover reprints of old art instruction manuals, this one first published in 1854. Serious instruction, it is a little book meant for a determined student. It is truly everything about shading for realistic work and is an excellent value for what it is.
I Also Recommend: Lessons on Shading, Anatomy for Artists.
