    Synopsis

An unexpected attraction leads a young woman to a temptation she cannot resist!

Dagmara meets an RAF fighter pilot. A romance begins as war breaks out in Europe. Assigned a dangerous mission, the young lovers are torn apart. After surviving a devastating plane crash and left for dead, Dagmara finds herself stranded in France, in a country at war. Witnessing the brutal deaths of the two remaining survivors, Dagmara disguises herself as a boy to evade Germans. Separated from her family and fiance, she is befriended by an Irishman.
Pursued by a spy and hunted by Germans, the unlikely pair become allies. In enemy territory with only each other to rely on for survival, an inexplicable bond is formed, and their friendship leads to a searing night of passion.
Two strangers from completely different worlds with nothing in common, risk everything for each other. You only get a few moments, sometimes only one that defines your whole life, and then it is gone... forever.

    Three lives...
    One destiny...
In love, there are no boundaries.

October 16, 2007: For a first time novelist, this debut novel from author Davin Colten is sensational. I've never read anything so vivid in detail, so descriptive in character, that you feel as if you are almost in that time and place, it is written so beautifully. I love that, when you read a novel you can picture everything in your mind, the charaters, the scene, almost like watching a movie. I love how the writer portrays the protagonist as such a strong, passionate, undaunted female. I loved the passion between the heroine and heros. And espeically I loved how the author stayed true to that time where propriety was high during the 1940's. The suspense keeps you enthralled till the very end, not knowing what is going to happen, wanting more, not wanting it to end. A beautifully written novel that I hope everyone reads. I have already recommended this book to my friends, and I look forward to reading the authors next novel. Also, I would love to see this novel made into a film or mini series. I wonder who would play the main characters, I have a few actors in mind.

September 10, 2007: Lie With The Devil is a romance novel that fills the pages with a captivating story from the very first page. Debut author Davin Colten has got a best seller in my opinion. Descriptively written, this is an excellent literary fiction novel from beginning to end. I loved the heroine, how both heros fall in love with her the moment they set eyes on her. This novel is not some romance fluff, its suspenseful, intriguing, dark, and very sexy in chapters. Written with such insight and passion, it is very romantic, and it is definitely a book I would recommend for true romantics like myself. It is even dedicated to hopeful romantics everywhere. I love how the story begins and the ending is just the best ending I have ever read. A tearful, excellent surprise that keeps you intrigued and hungry for more. I would love to meet a man like the two main heros, the seductive, arrogant Irishman Colin Murphy and the handsome, aristocrat William Cavill. They are like Mr. Darcy combined. What a great first novel, I cannot wait to read the romantic spy thriller series the author is writing next. And the incredible journey the heroine Dagmara goes through in France during WWII is an authentic, perilous adventure. A romantic adventure that I definitely recommend for everyone!
