The war started in Lebanon in 1975 and lasted for fifteen years, but it did not stop the children of this country from going to school. From Beirut, where he went to medical school, the author immigrated to the free land to achieve his dreams. From the atrocities of the war and his experience at the hospital in Virginia, he learned many lessons to share.
