Former vampire hunter Michael Quinn is living a nightmare: he's been turned into a vampire. His only hope is the "Eye"a long-lost artifact that, once every millennium, will grant one wish to its possessor. Fortunately for Quinn, he has a map detailing the path to the "Eye." All he needs to do is find it, then he can wish himself back into humanity.
Janie Parker has made a lot of many mistakes in her life, not the least of which was getting tricked into working for a demon. Not only is the pay awful, but she has to successfully complete all her unsavory assignments or risk a torturous death. Her latest mission is to track a vampire who apparently knows where some stupid treasure is. No problem. Until she sees who the vampire is Michael Quinn, a man she's had a crush on since she was twelve years old. Too bad she'll have to kill him to get to the "Eye."
But Quinn and Janie are kindred spirits, and soon they're falling in love even though they're after what the other person is desperate for: the "Eye".
Michelle Rowen is a paranormal romance author who lives in Ontario, Canada.

November 19, 2008: A clever, fun, sexy vampire novel suitable for teens and up. Not too deep into vampire culture or romance, just likeable characters (particularly Quinn) and funny situations. I like Quinn's humorous approach to life, or paranormal existence. He jokes around about things more than most vampires who take it all so seriously or wickedly. He's pretty cool. Janie is, like most women in these novels, too unwilling to let anyone know she likes someone. I don't know why these women are more worried about being rejected than killed. lol
I Also Recommend: The Vampire Diaries #1-2, The Vampire Diaries #3-4, The Coffin Club (Vampire Kisses Series #5), Vampire Kisses, Box Set, Twilight.

May 15, 2008: Michlle Rowen is a talented author, capable of combining romance and humor. Normally I do not read vampire books. As a child, ?Dark Shadows? traumatized me. Barnabas and his long fangs gave me nightmares. However, I digress I could not resist Lady & the Vamp. This is book 3 of the Immortal Bites Series. This book stands alone. Lady & the Vamp has it all--romance, humor, mystery, suspense, and a werewolf. Janie and Quinn join forces to find the Ruby Eye. An evil villain wants the eye, so that he can rule the world. Lady & the Vamp is entertaining. This makes a great summer read.
