Logical Breakdown of Logical Reasoningby Anonymous

September 05, 2009: I took the LSAT in June after studying with a Kaplan test prep book (which I do NOT recommend), and saw now improvement in my score. I am taking the LSATs again in September, and I feel far more prepared after encountering this book. It not only provides a review of every question type - complete with common correct and common incorrect answer choices - but it also provides a review of logic, and more specifically, how logic is applied to the LSAT. I am familiar with logical reasoning, but after being out of school for a few years, this test prep program has provided a very thorough and helpful review. The concepts in this book can also be applied to the Reading section of the LSAT. Anyone who is taking the LSAT should USE THIS BOOK. It even goes so far as to provide quizzes on concepts before building up to the application of those concepts to actual LSAT questions. The authors highlight specific words and phrases that you will encounter, and explain how to interpret them on the LSAT. Well written, clear, and thorough. I am looking to score in the low/mid 170's, and my problem was with consistent practice test performance at this level, followed by a lower score on the actual test. The Logical Reasoning questions are half of your LSAT score, so strong preparation on those questions is key! I feel much more confident and less intimidated by complicated verbiage after using this book.
