Synopsis

Not far from Dullsville, someone's lurking in the dark. . . .

After meeting the handsome and shadowy Alexander Sterling, goth-girl Raven's dark world has a bright, new glow. But as in her favorite movie, Kissing Coffins, Raven knows that love always has its complications, especially when Alexander has a big secret to guard.

When Alexander suddenly disappears, Raven leaves Dullsville to begin a dangerous search to find him. Can she stay safe, no matter who—or what—she encounters on the way?

Publishers Weekly

Kissing Coffins by Ellen Schreiber follows on the heels of Vampire Kisses, about which PW said the author "adds some refreshing twists to genre archetypes and modern-day stereotypes." Having learned that her heartthrob Alexander is a real vampire, 16-year-old goth girl Raven sets out to find him. (Aug.) Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

Kissing Coffins (Vampire Kisses Series #2)by Anonymous

July 17, 2008: I read the first book in the series, and was a little disapointed. It wasn't as bad as some other vampire books, though, so I decided to give the second book a try. I was completley disapointed in this installment. It bought into every vampire cliche known to man. Some of them were mentioned in the first book, but I overlooked them because it wasn't badly written for someone's first vampire story. This was too much though! I had to force myself to read the first few chapters, but never ended up finishing it. I am sure the plot thickens in the middle of the book, but I simply did not have the patience to deal with all the silly vampire myths that were thrown into the story. Another thing that irked me was the excessive use of exclamation points in this book. It seem like every other sentence ended with one, and made me feel like I was reading a story for a child. Overall, both this book and the first installment in the series, are disapointing and should only be read by people who believe the crazy things they say about vampires. I don't really think this is a matter of age, though. I am in seventh grade, the age group at which this series is aimed at, and I obviously don't like this book. I think the author should stick to books that are about humans, and stop exploring the world of vampires, which she obviously knows little about.

March 31, 2008: afer reading this book i felt over powered with new ideas, like, its ok to stand out from the crowd, and its ok to not care what other people think. also raven's boyfriend, Alexander Sterling, is a sexy man beast! he's not like other guys, and hes different, and he has a hot style.
