April 27, 2008: This is the most thoughtfully written restaurant review book I've seen in a long time, and it serves the Kauai visitor well. It's written in an unprentious, fun, and knowledgeable manner, making it a joy to read and utilize on the trip. We truly enjoyed using it as our sole dining guide, and if we spotted a place that wasn't reviewed in the book, we didn't bother with it, because the authors included only those restaurants that they felt from their research were worth including. Of the restaurants we visited, the reviews were spot-on - as a result, if we skipped a place that looked appealing but wasn't in the book, we didn't feel like we'd missed out on anything. The reviews cover several price ranges and food types, and the extras, like 'He Said, She Said, We Said', 'Island Cuisine,' and the glossary are delightful --as well as useful-- additions. This is the only restaurant guide you'll need for your trip to Kauai!

April 18, 2008: These authors have done an excellent job of sorting the dining needs for you. They have written many guides for several years and they constantly keep you updated on the information. Every time I read one of their books I get the feeling that they are truly enjoying the dining themselves so I KNOW I would definitely have a pleasurable experience! I think they should be 'top-of-the-list' for travelers to the islands.
