The author provides excellent tips on what materials to buy and helps you avoid problems by telling you what materials don't work well. This is helpful to people who might be attempting these types of projects for the first time. There are lists of materials and tools needed for each project. There are B&W photographs and clearly labeled diagrams. This book shows you how to build real professional looking jumps that could be used at shows. There are also instructions to build other equipment that might be useful around a stable. So, it's not just for jumps. This is a clear, easy to use book. It is hardcover so, it lies flat when open on a table and will hold up well to lots of use. This book could save you hundreds of dollars by making your own equipment. Current price of a pair of plain, unpainted jump standards in one horse supply catalog is $78 plus up to $24 shipping. This book shows you how to make them yourself. Good book.
