    Synopsis

A Bertie and Jeeves classic, featuring the Junior Ganymede, a Market Snodsbury election, and the Observer crossword puzzle.

Jeeves, who has saved Bertie Wooster so often in the past, may finally prove to be the unwitting cause of this young master's undoing in Jeeves and the Tie that Binds. The Junior Ganymede, a club for butlers in London's fashionable West End, requires every member to provide details about the fellow he is working for. When information is inadvertently revealed to a dangerous source, it falls to Jeeves to undo the damage.

    Annotation

Jeeves belongs to a club for butlers where every member must write about their employers. But Jeeves's employer Bertie Wooster is worried the information will fall into unscrupulous hands. A "gripping" saga. 4 cassettes.

    Biography

Comic timing would seem less of the essence in literature until you read the English wit of P. G. Wodehouse, who shows just how a well-placed comment or properly inflected phrase can create a response that is often all too rare during a reading session: A loud, hearty laugh.

July 11, 2009: I love these stories. The language used in this book is absolutely wonderful. On the back cover on the book, it is commented that one cannot be sad while reading this book, and it is completely true. This book always makes me smile while I read it.

April 13, 2009: A subtly funny book that manages to weave in absurd situations with wry observations. The humor is very British, but I imagine that will add to the re-read value of the book (i.e. picking up on new things with each reading).
