July 01, 2009: I love "Dummies" books so I am biased to say the least.
Nevertheless, this book provides an effective blend of resources, insights, facts, and useful examples for those looking for a cogent online-investing reference. His use of "(see Chapter X)" maybe a bit liberal but that is typical of books that endeavor to cover a lot of topics while minimizing redundancy. Another positive is that I found myself ear-marking pages regularly throughout my initial read at B&N.This book effectively uses examples and illustrations to help the reader understand what are sometimes difficult-to-communicate aspects of the market. In addition the author includes many websites that can be used to delve further into certain subjects.
