September 11, 2008: This is the first bok I have read that I could not put down. It's captivating. I used a lot of time at work researching the internet about this book. I've looked at pictures and climbing companies. Krakauer's description of events are so good, I catch myself closing my eyes and putting myself on the mountain.

April 15, 2007: this book had a great story and was good in the fact that it gae great facts and at the same time remaining personal. but it was delivered poorly in my opionin, it draged on and was very repetitive. but after i got about half way thruogh i enjoyed it but fell asleep reading it the first few times. i read this book for school and generally liked it but i wanted to be put to sleep i would have taken niquill.
