    Synopsis

Here are the confessions of a vampire. Hypnotic, shocking, and chillingly erotic, this is a novel of mesmerizing beauty and astonishing force–a story of danger and flight, of love and loss, of suspense and resolution, and of the extraordinary power of the senses. It is a novel only Anne Rice could write.

    Philadelphia Inquirer

"A supernatural thriller raised to the level of literature."

November 21, 2009: I read this book when it first came out (about a zillion years ago). My granddaugher is, of course, now into the vampire thing. I told her that if she really wanted to read a GOOD vampire book, Interview With a Vampire by Anne Rice was the book to read. I could not find my old copy, but could find all the other vampire books by Anne Rice still in my book collection. It would have been quaint if she could have read the exact copy that I had read. So, I had to buy a new copy. Oh well, she totally loved the book. It beats all the new vampire books in her opinion. Now she will get to read the rest of my Anne Rice books stash.

I Also Recommend: The Child Thief.
