May 09, 2009: Jill kismet is another kick butt heroine that takes you on an action packed fantastical adventure! The author Lilith Saintcrow definately brings the world of fantasy right to the realworld in this series. Jill works with keeping the city cops from gettin eatin from the real bad nasties and is kinda a tough magical hand for hire when anyone has problems from the 'Other side'. Jill Kismet is a heroine who aint perfect which definately makes you like her all that much more. if you want an action packed magical thrill ride this is the book for you. i enjoy this series and cant wait for more of whats to come.

I Also Recommend: The Iron Hunt (Hunter Kiss Series #1).

March 16, 2009: This book is the second book in the Jill Kismet series but it can stand alone. I own book 1 of this series but I haven't read it yet, but I could still understand the book very well. However, highly recommend you to read book 1 first for your full enjoyment. This book was written in a first person narration (in case, some of you want to know.)... The story, just like other reviewer said, is focusing on a female hunter, Jill Kismet and her shape shifter sidekick, Zaul. The story starts when Jill, who's working as a paranormal consultant for the cops was called to examine a body of a female prostitute who got murdered and her body was cruelly mutilated in a very non-humanly way. The main storyline is about how Jill was trying to investigate the case. However, Jill herself also has her own personal trouble to add to the story. By making a secret deal with a demon in exchange for her super human power, this contract now comes to haunt her every move.

If you want to compare this book to Lilith's previous work, I rate this book pretty much equal to Book 2 of Dante Valentine series. Jill is a strong heroine and yet still amiable. There is a little romance thrown in. But if you're looking for a paranormal romance genre, this is not for you. But if you like to read paranormal/ fantasy with a sprinkle of romance, this book is definitely for you. It's still one of the best urban fantasy books I've ever read. So if you're looking around to find something good to read, I suggest you to try this one. But, as I mentioned before, I highly recommend you to start with Book 1 first.- Happy reading!!
