"How to Succeed in Breastfeeding Without Really Trying, or Ten Steps to Laugh Your Way Through" provides new mothers with humorous, easy-to-use, step-by step instructions on how to initiate, sustain, and actually succeed in breastfeeding. After giving birth, many women are shocked to discover that breastfeeding does not come naturally; rather, it's painful and awkward. Feeling both frustrated and exhausted, they often find themselves without help and support from hospital staff. Not surprisingly, many do not initiate or prematurely quit breastfeeding. This book is written not only to help women breastfeed but also to help them feel better overall, especially postpartum - perhaps the most joyful yet tearful time in a woman's life. It is strewn with jokes, poems, literary and cinematic associations, and color illustrations, which create feelings of joy and festivity so much needed for postpartum mothers.

February 19, 2009: This book is awesome. I delivered my daughter Katherine in November , and I felt lonely and it was hard being the only person responsible for my baby. Neither my husband nor my parents could help me although they tried. Breastfeeding was very hard and challenging, even after weeks. It was obvious that my job as a mother was overwhelming. In January, a good friend ordered "How to Succeed in Breastfeeding Without Really Trying, Or Ten Steps to Laugh Your Way Through" on the internet. I read it within one night. Once I started I could not go to bed, because I was too excited about what would come next. Besides, I loved the amusing illustrations which are designed in the right context through the whole book. It has a plenty of useful hints concerning motherhood. Moreover, it shows situations all mothers go through but in such a funny way. It made me feel better to know that I am not the only woman with all those problems. At the same time I learned how deal with them. As the title says, you can really laugh your way through breastfeeding if you know how. I am so glad I had the chance to read this book. I just wish I had read it before I delivered Katherine. It would have made my first two months easier. No matter at what age, I really recommend every woman to read "How to Succeed in Breastfeeding Without Really Trying, Or Ten Steps to Laugh Your Way Through".
