    October 14, 2009: I have been trying to teach myself how to play guitar for a month now. My uncle tried to teach me but he is always so busy so i'm really, really excited to pick it up. i am very eager to pick up this book and start strumming. i hope the book will be as useful as most of it's reviews tell me!!!

    August 27, 2008: I bought a guitar years ago and bought this book then without truly looking threw it. I was bummed at all the folk content since metal is my goal. This book turned out to cover more basics and what I consider needed info than any other I've seen. I want to be able to read sheet music, not just tabs and this book has been a good foundation.
