    Synopsis

Answering a multitude of questions-such as What should a parent do with a child who wants to snack continuously? How should parents deal with a young teen who has declared herself a vegetarian and refuses to eat any type of meat? Or What can parents do with a child who claims he doesn't like what's been prepared, only to turn around and eat it at his friend's house?-this guide explores the relationship between parents, children, and food in a warm, friendly, and supportive way.

    Annotation

This book teaches simple ground rules for developing healthy, happy eating habits. By building on natural instinct, this book teaches that children will get what they need nutritionally, but makes clear where a parent must establish rules and take charge.

October 09, 2001: This book is helpful with practical feeding information as well as with tips on the power struggles that develop all too often when feeding children of any age. It lets you know that your job as a good parent is to provide your children with the food that they need. You are not required to force them to eat the food. It provides suggestions on ways to make the feeding process go more smoothly. Definitely a helpful resource in raising children who test the limits!
