Though fashions may change, certain things never go out of style- like your favorite little black dress that can take you from a business meeting to a dinner party to a night on the town. But what makes it work is not the dress, it's how you present yourself while wearing it. A woman who is polite, well spoken, gracious, charming, and thoughtful is always welcome- though such women appear to be in short supply these days! Despite the headline- grabbing antics of certain flashy celebutantes, most of us would rather have respect- for ourselves and from our family, friends, and colleagues.
Jordan Christy is a publicist for Warner Bros. Records and has worked with dozens of artists and celebrities, in addition to various TV and media outlets. She has also written for local and national fashion magazines and music trade publications. She currently lives in Nashville, TN with her husband Drew.

In How to Be a Hepburn in a Hilton World, it was sometimes hard to be respectful of the author and what she was trying to teach when she talked nastily about "stupid girls". She could have went about writing the first part of the book in a different way that included all the girls that wanted to become classy, even ones with a not-so-pleasant past, but after the first 15 pages, she started to ease off a bit. I enjoyed a lot of things from this book, ones that I had to share with everyone that crossed my path, and I thank the author for using such an easily understood yet classy vocabulary. My favorite thing to read was the true short stories of how couples became married couples. It was really cute! The tips on how to dress made me feel a lot better about shopping, about how I'm not the only one with the problem of fitting into the right pair of jeans. This book really taught me how to become more of a graceful and respected, classy young adult. I recommend every teenage girl to read it before that first date or first job interview!Reader Rating:

August 10, 2009: I loved this book and believe it should be mandatory reading for any females (ages 15-50) who think it's attractive to drop the "F" bomb, not pick up a newspaper, use the words "umm" and "like" and who believe that playing dumb makes her more appealing to others.
The first chapter is "Stupid Girls" and we all know afew of them. The women and girls who have a limited vocabulary and come off as uneducated. The chapters get better and better and I believe that every smart, classy , educated female should purchase this book and pass it on to someone who can benefit from it (and we all know someone who can). I actually finished my copy and left it on the desk of a 42 year old colleague who thinks it's "cool" to drop the "F" bomb everytime she opens her mouth. She also dresses like a 12 year old slob, brags about all of the rock concerts she needs to take off of work to attend (yes, she's 42) and constantly feels the need to compromise every conversation! Hopefuly, she will read this book and improve herself.
